My company pays over $200 for lcd monitors. I see good lcds on here for half that. Are they the same quality? Maybe not, but most people don't need professional level products.

I purchased this for the wife and daughters a couple months back. They've no complaints about the product. However, these LED's put out serious UV light that you can feel instant warmth under the lamp. The product works like it should; or so I've been told by them and it was a small investment into something for the lady's in the house to figure out they don't like to gel their nails as much as they thought they would. (Apparently, if you have sensitive nails, it can be rather uncomfortable since there is a heat reaction in the polish once UV activated.)

Ultraviolet causes cancer especially cheap ultraviolet in the wrong spectrum is even more cancer-causing

California would have banned it by now. So no. There is no evidence this unit will do any harm. You can read the extensive reviews.
