I've been wanting to get some sort of container or special bag for things in my car's trunk, since water leaks into it when it rains... You know, like gym clothes, maybe snacks, soup for days i don't want to cook at work, etc...

Would this be a good general thing for those purposes? Or would I maybe be better off getting a few cheap tarps and maybe some plastic storage boxes?

I'm thinking this would be good for gym clothes at the least....

water leaks into the trunk? wow. Never knew that could happen.

You are better off with a $5 plastic storage box

A little cleaning, figuring out where the rubber seal is failing, and applying silicone will stop that leak

I have a similar dry bag for my boat and it is fantastic for keeping things dry. I would not use this for gym clothes however. You trap that sweaty moisture. You Reay want something that breathes for gym clothes.

I once had a car that got water in the trunk. It was terrible. I remember shop vacuuming water out every month or so. This bag will keep things dry in your wet trunk. It is designed for exactly that sort of environment. This would also be great for camping.
