One thing I learn is that keeping in one of these pumps , tire plugs and a pair of pliers in the car is invaluable. Takes care of most flats without the need to take off the wheel. The compactness of this is nice.

This will probably take hours to pump a few PSI.

Any tankless compressor will take a long time. I had http://www.sears.com/craftsman-12v-portable-inflator-w-digital-tire-pressure/p-02875114000P?plpSelle... [sears.com] and it was definitely a solid couple minutes to top off a few PSI per tire. Not bad for if you're really in a jam but certainly wouldn't use it to inflate a flat tire.

It will take only a few mins. Not hours. It's not as fast as the gas station but not bad if you need to top off in air. If you are pumping from a total flat it may take 30 mins. I would give the unit a few breaks so it does not over heat.

I thought the same at first. But it said something about an adapter for cars and bicycles

I agree with this 1000%. Just plugged two nail holes this summer without even removing wheel from vehicle. Just make sure ya have the T-handle repair tools. I've been carrying the Black & Decker Air Station for over 10 years and it's served me well.
