Looking for small compressor to fill car tires. This looks like it would get the job done. Anyone have any comments on this unit?

Excluding the accessories, is this any better than the HF 3 gallon that goes on sale for $29.99

I have this and that is about all it's good for. Not powerful enough for much else.

HF is 1/3hp vs Sears 1/8hp. Cfm is better too on HF. Pancake more stable on uneven surface like a roof. I would go with HF.

You would never find a compressor this cheap, made in the USA.

I bought this once from Home Depot as a "slick deal" and it was so horrible I returned it. Super loud and lacking in power. I would rather use a bike pump.

A bike pump isn't a bad option for topping up car tires. They usually have pretty accurate gauges built in, nice leak-free chucks, and push enough air to raise the pressure of a standard car tire a few PSI with not all that many strokes.

I usually grab a bike pump for car tires unless I'm airing up from completely flat.

This is fine for running a small nail gun (Brad nailer, narrow crown stapler) but will be irritating to use with a framing nailer. You'd get one nail, wait for the compressor to refill, shoot another nail, etc.

HF is better for the price. I have one from HF and have been using it for tiers and cleaning computers.

Works well enough, especially for the price...just sound equivalent of having a rock concert in the house.
