Ya it is.. takes a minute or two. Grabbed this last time it was posted. Works well with Alexa. Haven't tested smart things or ifttt support.. but the Amazon page says it doesn't.

I bought the 2 Pack special last month and the integration with Alexa just works, and the Wife acceptance was there day 1.

The app was easy to setup as well as adding outlets.

Go for it.

Doesn't seem to allow you to use the code on more than one order.

Don't have a code for this but here's a two pack of a different brand for $26.39. This one works with Alexa or Google Assistant for those like me who have Google Home.

I am new to this. I have an Amazon Alexa. Should I go for this or Philips Hue?

I did some google searches but could find many comparisons.

This works with Alexa as many states. It works as a remote controlled power outlet.
Let says you are in your office, and you want remotely turn on the appliance or Christmas lights those go through this outlet.

Philips Hue is a hub, that controls lights but not an outlet. You can remote control Only the Philips Hue lights those are setup with the hub

They are two different types of product

I have these outlets. They work fine but do note that they are much bigger than the picture seems to represent.

I have 12 of these things already metering everything I care about in my home (except my freezer don't trust them that much), In my experience with energy metering devices (ignore devices specifically for metering like killowatts/multimeters) these things are pretty accurate

Setup: really only takes about 1 minute or less like they advertise
1. basically plugin
2. hit add device button
3. profit

App is really basic and kind of a drag, gives you energy monitoring and on/off access as well as some historic data rendering but it's pretty basic (kind of buggy, slow)

Important Note: these devices say they are part of a company called Etekcity in California, however they talk out to servers in China, there is a local proxy server you can run if you want

For the less faint of heart, there are a couple Node Packages

Remote Api Client
https://www.npmjs.com/package/etekcity-smartplug

Proxy Server to run upstream/downstream API locally
