Target Cartwheel has a 10% off coupon for 35 lb litter. Buy 3 35 lb litters and get a $10 giftcard. Current selling price in my store is $12.99. Out of pocket cost will be $35.07 with a $10 giftcard. After factoring in the giftcard the total will be approximately $8.35 each. This deal is in store only.

If you don't have cats, you can save an additional 100%.

Unfortunately we have multiple cats, and wait to 'pounce' on these deals when they come around.

When on sale for $10.49, Dr. Elsey 40lb cat litter is $0.26/lb versus this Tidy Cats deal at $0.23/lb. I used to get in on these deals, but my cat seems more happy with the Elsey. Doesn't stick to the bottom of the litter box and no perfume smell.

Have you ever considered a litter robot? They're pricey but we use much less litter since we switched.

The litter robot III on Amazon is 449. Nah, over the life of multiple cats, it won't save enough litter to break even.

I like to use the tidy cats breeze system. I read online about it before purchasing myself and have found it actually saves a lot of money/litter.

Instead of using the pads on the bottom you put a handful or two, depending on the size of your hands, of pine pellets. You don't want to use too much pine pellets because they will expand with liquid and over fill the area if you do. Then you can scoop up the poop bits while the pine pellets absorb the liquid. You'll want to dump the pellets from the tray at least once a day or two depending on the amount of usage. Every week I will take the whole thing and just rinse it off as well. As for the pellets themselves you can get a designated bucket to wash them in and lay them out to dry, personally I have more than one litter box going so I just use the top part of the breeze tray to dry them on while they use the other boxes, some people like to dry them on a towel or cardboard to spread it out more.
It may take a lil more to do, but it is definitely a money saver doing it like this. Pine pellets only cost like $5 at my local farm/tractor/feed store for a bag of 40lbs, they absorb the liquid and being pine it helps with the urine smell.
It took my cats about a month or so before they started pooping in it, they only used it for urine at first. You will need to replace the pellets over time as they will get stuck in the poo or kicked outside the box. If you find something better feel free to use that as well, I've read that some people also put plastic b-bs or something in there as well, as long as it doesn't go through the slats I would think it should work.

Except you get all the poo smell. I use Elsey's and I share a home office with my cat's litter box. Seriously considering going back to Tidy Cats just for the smell covering.

Which Tidy Cats do you use? I used the one with febreeze and 24/7, and they stank more than my cat's natural poo smell. Maybe I'm sensitive to chemical scents.
