Bell Qualifier DLX Full Face Motorcycle Helmet with Transistions Chromatic Shield for $147.99 with F/S! (3 colors to choose from)

Pretty awesome deal here. Normally, the Bell Qualifier DLX with Transistions Shield sells for $249 retail at Cycle Gear and Revzilla.

This helmet from Bell, is their entry level helmet. What makes this a good deal is the Transistions face shield. DOT certified.

FYI, I've purchased from them before with zero issues. They have a physical store in the KC area too.

Kinda like getting the helmet for free. The shield goes for $139 by itself. Good deal.

I have no use for that shield since I live in Phoenix, AZ. It's like having untinted windows. However, this helmet is pretty sweet and if you live in a cooler climate and don't mind sunburns and the extra heat that comes with this shield then this is a smoking deal.

This shield auto darkens in sunlight, I've used the Shoei version for two seasons now and it does a great job for riding in the daytime.

I bought this helmet last year and returned it after one ride, thinking it would be an upgrade over the regular Qualifier. The deluxe version is so much noisier at highway speed, and a TON of noise comes through the special communicator dock. I don't recommend this helmet if you do a lot of highway riding. The shield however is fantastic, it gets a little darker than the Shoei transitions shield.

Also this helmet is both DOT and ECE rated, which is a plus. It scored mediocre on the SHARP test though, receiving the lowest score possible on the left side because of the com dock and a mid level score on the right. There is literally nothing but plastic and air at the dock, no foam or padding to speak of.

Oh, I had only messed around that helmet at a motorcycle shop never rode with it. I've used that visor I know it darkens, but it does not block UV rays otherwise how could it tint. Whether or not you agree with the science behind it I can tell you that there was one trip where I was riding generally toward the sun and I got a sunburn, besides wondering why in the hell my helmet and face were so hot. Again, this is in a hundred plus degree weather so may not affect most people.

By the way, I bought that visor a full price of bleeding me I didn't give up on it after one ride. The heat was absolutely unlike every other tinted visor I've ever run with, even the
clear ones.

The description on the Amazon page for the shield itself, says it blocks 99% of all UV rays.

I've used motorcyclecloseouts for years now, usually good. This year I bought a helmet, and never got a tracking #. Contacted them days later via email asking status, they reply no stock. Completely unacceptable. Sure stuff happens with inventory, however it should've been next day or two they informed me, not wait until I ask them.

I did ask if there was any other make/model they might be able to ship instead, they replied with a couple more expensive ones, so I got excited, cool they're gonna give me another better helmet.... nope, they wanted the $ difference.

+ Rep to the OP for the deal, but thumbs down for the poor merchant.
