Absolutely don't quote me on this, but I THINK I read on previous threads that the first 100MB might be 4G, and the other 400MB data will be 3G or whatever... and if you don't know, 500mb really is not a lot of data. Pretty much you should avoid streaming video and music, and limit your browsing to maybe just for addresses and phone numbers. Also consider downloading a data manager so you don't go over your allotment before the month is over...

That said, from what I've read, a lot of people have been happy with Red Pocket. I think this service would be great on a backup/emergency phone, or even one from work.

If you absolutely do not use the phone for streaming or much browsing, you could probably get away with using a Google Voice number and going for the lesser plan that's less than $53 or so right now.... use texts and calls over data with Google Voice/hangouts. The data allotment on that one is the same, but I think you only get 100 mins of text and 100 mins of voice, which again is why I suggest just using Google voice

That seems to be a completely different network... are you asking if it works with a phone you bought from iWireless? If so, might be a tricky question. These days, it seems like many phones on 3rd party service providers are locked down and hard to use (if not impossible) to use on other networks... or they require X amount of service time paid for - like 1 yr - before they unlock

This MAY help you, but I would contact the people on the site first to understand what you're getting yourself into:
http://www.oneunlock.com/en/tools...-iwireless

For example - if I unlocked a Boost iPhone SE using this kind of service, it may mostly work on T-Mobile after 3rd party unlock (the Boost iPhone SE should have most compatible bands to work on T-Mobile) - because it's the difference between GSM and CDMA.... but it will NOT work on Boost / Sprint / Virgin etc because it still is officially locked with Boost Mobile, even though I did a 3rd party unlock. 3rd party unlocks often just let you use it on another network. So I think Sprint/Boost is CDMA, and T-Mobile is GSM

Just do your reading on the unlock pages and don't be afraid to ask the sellers if it'll work on all networks after unlock, or if there'll be any limitations

What's the cheapest Verizon phone you could use with red pocket? For a teenager, emergency only.
