"If you have any desire to shoot in low light, you may find the performance a little disappointing. Although images are usable at very small sizes, they don't match up to the high quality that the camera can produce in bright light." -Photographyblog

Too much price. Outdated out of the gate Lacks more color gradations, highlight detail and you get ugly noise in low light. Just another incomplete camera with "mega" zoom.

First there's a good lens + good sensor and then all the rest that *CAN* be combined. Then there's new ground breaking innovation. Beware the tiny sensor. It's not just about Bokeh.

Been looking for a nice compact, bluetooth capable camera. Zoom is awesome, and I love NIKON. Code worked for me.

Nice camera, but concerned about stuffing 20MP rez in such a small sensor..that usually means they have to add a heavy layer of NR (noise reduction). Other features make it handy though. Truth is that this will outperform a smartphone by any measure. I could see this for travel and family events with this long reach.

Nikon announced yesterday they are closing their factory in China and exiting the compact business. Likely see more of these getting cleared out soon.

Either add some to get the 1" or M43 PS or stick with your cell phone. These cameras are going into the history books.

about time. the quality improvement over a good phone camera is not high enough to be carrying another item during trips. thus, no one is really buying them. pretty soon, mirrorless will be the size of compacts.

The unique value of the A900 is 4K shooting with a 24-820mm lens. It's not the sharpest lens at the extreme 820mm of the range but it's still much sharper than digitally magnifying a smartphone video.
