Isn't this really expensive? I bought the Ryobi impact drill and impact wrench with 2 batteries and a carrying case for $80 and it wasn't even steal of the century (just a price reference)

different type of impact, I believe this is a higher torque impact

Yea, I don't know why someone would buy this bare tool when you can get the kit w/ 4ah battery and charger for $129 at Home Depot: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Ryobi.../206736695

Even better if you can apply a $10 off $100 like HD offered last week.

does your 200ft/lb take off car lug nuts? Wondering if that would be good enough for me.

There is absolutely no comparison between an impact driver and an impact wrench -- impact drivers have MUCH smaller hammers and motors. I'm not sure if the OP is talking about the last model impact wrench (which was actually 200 ft-lb) or the impact driver that is typically in the bundles. All of the impact drivers are < 200 ft-lb, the bundled ones in particular -- they are not as strong as some of the models that are available as bare tools. Until this week, the strongest available Ryobi impact driver was 150 ft-lbs, and by the time you went through adapters to get up to 3/8 socket drive, it would not break lugnuts.Literally a few days ago they released a brushless one that is 166 ft-lbs, not sure if that'll do it. I also have the impact wrench the OP linked, and it easily break even stubborn lugnuts and rusted bolts. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if it's making more like 400 ft-lbs, since it has the same impact head as the Rigid Gen4x one (it does have a different motor, though, so it might not).

Anyway, at $129, the Ryobi impact wrench, battery, and charger are a great deal. They usually get a bunch in at that price around major holidays and then let them sell out the rest of the year, leaving only the $119 bare tool and the $179 combo, which only differs in that it includes a faster charger.

add on the same impact wrench, return the other kit once received. The impact wrench should be $66
