This is not the top clocked version.

Really only $60 off normal price + free game, warm deal.

Still holding off until the next GPU release (volta) in Ti as my 980ti's holding up just fine that I got in 2015.

These cards are really long, but they fit in ATX cases obviously. If you have an open PCI-e x16 slot and nothing blocking the space, yes, it should work.

But srsly, why do you have an itx board in an atx case?

Not yet since it is a special price. Regular prices are still over MSRP.

Probably built this PC piece by piece a la Slickdeals, is my guess.

Question for others: How does this compare with something like
EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 ELITE [newegg.com]

I always thought EVGA's FTW3 series was the pinnacle, and on paper, this Zotac seems like a very similar card [newegg.com], and its on sale at $700. ...Thoughts?

They are all same. This card is bit more power hungry and it runs hotter then my FTW3.

If you don't game at over 1080, then sure a 980 ti is still enough. But waiting for Volta means waiting for December 2018.

I don't want to wait one year so I just pulled the plug on a 1080 ti strix from Asus. Couldn't be happier.

That being said, this is a good deal mostly because of availability issues. I bought my Asus for $780 and they are going for over $800 now due to shortage of stock. The best three 1080 ti's right now are the Asus Strix, EVGA FTW3, and Aorus. The Aorus being the best if you have the space for it. I like mITX cases, and my Strix OC barely fits.
