Very loud. It works better than my 15 dollar braun travel shaver but you have to really rub each area to get a clean shave. Not great.

I got one at the previous $30 deal from Newegg. Like it a lot more than my $40 Philips Norelco Shaver 6100 from Amazon Treasure truck. These linear foil types (Panasonic, Braun) are a bit easier for people who are used to traditional shaver to transition to than the rotary blade type of Philips Norelco; I can shave with these linear types like the way I shave with traditional shaver, whereas when using the rotary blades I have to go over some spots from various directions because I have no clue which one of the 3 blades will be at the right angle to shave those spots. Anyhow, this is worth $30.

Was holding out for Black Friday on an Arc 4 or 5. Can anyone compare them? Worth the $100 price difference?

I actually bought it. It's awful. Not enough power. Kind of tugs at the hairs.

Had to return it and got hit with return shipping and restocking.

Panasonic only has 2 powered fingers to vibrate the blades. The more blades, I feel, the more friction and reducing the performance. I had a 2 decades ago, then 3, now 4. Each move has been a better shave, however, the motors have gotten faster too. Not sure if it's the speed or number of blades. Im very happy with a 4, could not justify a 5 without trying it if it was $100 more

Thanks for the info. I'll patiently await BF and try to grab a 4 or 5.
