Samsung MU6290 40" is still $299 at Microcenter [microcenter.com] (says $399 but changes to $299 in cart) for those who have a Microcenter close by (it's in-store only).

TCL 55C803 at Costco...was$449, now $549...similar to P607/C807...
Costco holiday ad just released and shows C series back on sale soon. The reviews for that line weren't as good by rtings. P series the way to go IMO.

The TCL are most bang for buck for gaming, for sure. I recently purchased the S series, both P and S are super low latency in gaming mode.

Next year I predict OLED will become more accessible in this price range. I remember paying a couple thousand for my first Plasma but now I can't justify more than a grand given how fast tech is maturing. OLED is a true step up from a basic LED. Motion on a plasma looks the best to me, though.

I disagree with you on OLED being more accessible. The materials to make such vibrant screens still has not decreased much. As long as it cost the manufactures a lot of money to make 50-65 screens ,OLED prices will remain. Sorta like LED was expensive for a while, till it became cheaper to make, and LCD was left out dry. Maybe in 2-3 years, but I don't think we're there yet. Maybe until another higher quality screen comes to the market and mark down OLED prices down. I think manafuvturre don't mind people not buying in yet, they are focus on 4K atm.

I bought this TV about 5 months ago when it was on sale on Amazon for 499.00 so this is the cheapest that I have seen it go. It is a great TV. Sound is pretty good too. It was a definite upgrade from my Toshiba which was about 6 years old. Funny thing was this 50 inch TV fit almost the exact same footprint that my 46 inch LCD Toshiba did. That's how I sold the wife, bigger TV same size!😁😁😁

They should have put the P guts in the C shell. C is nicer looking. P has the better internals.

So close.

If this was the 55", I would have pulled the TRIGGAH!
Same, that would've been an awesome deal.

Quiet as kept this deal from Costco may bee one of the better ones on a 50in. https://www.costco.com/Philips-50"-Class-(49.5"-Diag.)-4K-Ultra-HD-LED-LCD-TV.product.100375313.html

have this tv mounted in my living room, got it for $449 from the Walmart deal earlier this year. definitely a great tv for the money. Although i do assume the price will be going down next year as this is the 3rd time i've seen it at this price.

Thanks! I just got for my parents for Christmas! It will replace their 20 + year old 42" LED TV.

Your parents have an LED TV before they even made them??

Anyone know if this is the same one Frys is advertising for 399. The specs frys posted are the same but they won't post the model.

There's no improvement over the KU6300. They basically just changed the color of the stand and it's the exact same panel as the KU6300.

Both 60hz, both support HDR, both do not have local dimming or wide color gamut, both same contrast ratio, same input lag, same colors...when you compare them side by side on rtings.com you see no real differences at all. Just a rebadged 2016 model.
