Electricity too expensive here in New York to run Vega. Use 100W more power than 1070 means I'll pay a few dollar more every month owning this over a 1070.

At 20 cents a kWh (assumed) and 100 watts higher power (your figure), you'd need to game 150 hours each month to reach $3 more in electric cost. Add another buck a month for the months you use AC.

My question is then: do you have a job? Cuz there's no way you can work, commute, eat, sleep, and do everything else people do in a day and still be able to game 150 hours a month.

I have a job where I regularly work 50-60 hours a week and I still manage to game 150 hours a month. Most of that comes from the weekend, but it's still easily doable.

I pay 31 cents per kWh and I game very little, 5 hours a month maybe for the entire year so far. It doesn't negate the fact if I game on average 3 hours a day, which a lot of people actually do working full time, Vega would be much more expensive than 1070.
