Compare to the purple one on the FP. Which one is better? It's difficult for me to choose the color. Only 6 left, online, Thank you.

The Lodge Dutch being sold on Amazon has a stainless steel handle on the lid. In the description it states this handle can withstand oven temperatures of 500degs. The Dutch Oven Walmart is selling has a Black Phenolic knob. A quick google search reveals this type of handle can only withstand 375 degrees in the oven. So you should base your decision on what you will be cooking.

Amazon description: "Bake or broil in any conventional or convection oven. Stainless knobs and cookware are oven safe to 500°F."

Google Search: "The traditional Phenolic knob stays cool during stovetop use and is oven safe to 375 F, while the 18/10 stainless steel knob is highly durable and can withstand any oven temperature."

Personally I'd choose the Lodge. While you can get a different handle, I'd much prefer the stainless handle on the lid, especially since I use mine for making bread (at a higher temperature than 375).

The link in the OP appears broken. This one works better: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Tramon...10&veh=aff

That said, this is a very nice pot for this price. We've had this exact model for 5-6 years now, and it has held up beautifully. We leave it out on the stove, since it's attractive. For us, the phenolic top is far preferable to a stainless one, since you can grab it with bare hands.

Don't wash it in the dishwasher. Bon Ami, the gentlest of abrasive cleaners, handily removes any cooking residue that won't come off with a sponge.

Final note: when you pick this up at the store, open the box and set the pot directly on the counter. Try rocking the pot back and forth by pressing opposite sides of the rim in several places. If it rocks at all, box it back up and get a different one, because it means the bottom isn't perfectly flat. If you have a flat top stove (like I used to), a perfectly flat bottom is essential. (Note I said FLAT bottom, not fat bottom, Queen fans.)
