Huawei Ascend XT phone - $19 @ Walmart Clearance - B&M YMMV!

Picked up an Huawei Ascend XT tonight in St. Petersburg, FL (33711) for $19 plus tax (they still had 2 more left). Other stores around town have it for $30 and $40 so YMMV as to the lowest price in your area. Walmart.com has it for $79.

Amazing phone for the price - 6" IPS screen, dual-sim, expandable memory, etc. Its an AT&T Prepaid phone but appears to have an unlockable bootloader.

Code: TAKE90 will work if you get 2 or more.

zip code 22306 (next to Washington, DC), store# 2258, shows 14 in stock at $19.

I went there and bought two... still has a dozen behind the counter.

inserted my existing Traconf SIM card in it, works fine.

kind of a crappy phone, but the price is awesome. Smilie

Thanks!
What network is Traconf?

Good luck finding them. The new ATT phones have been put out, and these are most likely in storage somewhere. You are likely to hear the patented Walmart "We ain't got that."
This is exactly right. I noticed this deal last week, and when I went hunting In stores that I knew had it the employees gave me a very big issues looking for it since it was it on the shelf

Good price but hard to unlock. Att now needs to be in prepaid for 6 months before unlocking...
Why r people buying it still if that is the case?

This phone can be unlocked for $5 via dc-unlocker. This is a true unlock as the software actually reads the unlock code from the phone itself (which is pretty impressive).

If anyone wants to try this go https://www.dc-unlocker.com/buy and make a account, deposit 4 euros = 4 credits. Download Hisuit on your pc which will download all the drivers. Plug in your phone, on your phone in the dialer type *#*#2846579#*#* and go into Background settings/USB port settings and switch it to Manufacture Mode.

Back on the computer, Download the DC-Unlocker and open it and set it to "Huawei Phones". Click auto detect and it will show your phone information. Login to your account and click "Read Unlock codes". It will display all the unlock codes for your device instantly(it reads them off your device). The NCK is the network unlock code you are looking for.

**Follow instructions here:
https://www.dc-unlocker.com/huawei-id-unlock

I have 4 of these phones. They are cheap enough that I don't get upset when my family drops their phones (which seems frequent, sigh).
