Would anyone recommend this for Xbox One X since it will support 2560x1440 resolution?

BenQ never designed for gaming. It's for professional editing use. Gaming doesn't need 100 % sRGB color

"designed for" and "good for" are two different things. This monitor is good for gaming unless you need a super fast response rate or refresh rate. It's a very solid screen with excellent colors and features, especially for the price.

This question always comes up and it starts a flame war. If owner recommendations aren't enough for you (I have it, it's awesome!), then check out any of the numerous reviews on the net. This monitor has been around for several years and has quite a following.

I got this monitor last time it was on sale (same exact price minus the router). I called NewEgg to try and get the router free since Im still within the time I can return it but they wouldnt give it to me lol. Said I'd have to return the monitor and reorder it with the promotion. I only wanted it so I can try and flip it for a couple extra bucks but since none in auctions on eBay seem to have any bids, doesnt seem like its gonna be a quick sale and I dont need a router so I'm not gonna worry about it. Been watching this monitor for awhile didnt see the price drop beyond this, however if you can flip the router for a couple bucks to get some money back, thats prob the best deal.

Xbox One X is 4k 60hz. This might show my ignorance on this topic but wouldn't you want to use a 4k screen vs 1440p?

From what I read, the Xbox One X is capped at 60 fps. If that's the case, a 4k monitor would be better suited. According to the verge, the Xbox One X won't even launch with native support for 2560 x 1440p, but it's "coming soon".
