Sapphire Radeon RX VEGA 64 8GB LIMITED EDITION PCI-E Graphics Card $520

Lowest price ever on this Vega 64 card. This particular model has an upgraded shroud of thick aluminum compared to the standard reference card, and a different appearance. Standard reference card MSRP is $499, the "limited edition" (which this is) MSRP is $599, so $80 savings over MSRP right now in this time of bitcoin mining inflating demand for graphics processing is substantial. Vega 64 shows few improvements over nvidia 1080 in most games at present, but most games also have not been optimized for the newer directX12 which this card supports. If you're a content creator in 3D, 2D, video editing and the like, this card may actually be better for you than an nvidia 1080.

Crazy price. 1080 is cheaper and comes with a free game.

You also omitted that 1080 is better too. People are really dumb to even consider buying vega64 over gtx1080. better, cheaper, better freebies. I guess I don't understand what brand loyalty means! nod

To be fair, there are applications that amd cards do better in so there is a market for this.

Some people might already have a freesync monitor and want to get an AMD card even if it's not as quite good as a comparable nvidia card.

Vega 64 is the king in mining. So much faster then anything nVidia will ever make. Currently the fastest in GPU mining world is the vega 64. If 1080 was good then it wouldn't be sitting on the shelves everywhere when Vega is sold out.

Reference line is out of production so don't expect to see these. Expect to see the AIB vegas at $750-900 (going price overseas and sold out in seconds).

700-900 seems high for US market. Newegg had a reference 64 in stock for a few days at 649-679. The Powercolor 64s that were sold out in 3 minutes were at 619 but were actually slower out of the box than the reference cards but cooler and quieter.

I would guess unless the price of crypto suddenly justs 50% 550-650 will be the market for a month once the next wave is released. Guess we should see in the next few weeks.
