Dont to trust Slick deal rebate it is big fraud

1 10 November 2, 2017 at 11:16 AM
I made mistake, did not trust other user's warning.

I sent Orginal invoice, rebate form and original label with correct UPC number on it.
They rejected my claim mentioning original UPC barcode do not present. I reopened claim by sending picture of my tv and box. Still they rejected.

Note: In rejected message it is clearly mentioned barcode may not needed

These rebates are to reject claim, Please do not get fooled with Slick Deal Rebates.

take pics, photocopies of every single piece of item you mail them, including the upc just in case. that goes without saying.

What rebate was this for? If you can PM me your rebate tracking number I'll look into this for you and see what the issue is.

I have the same issue with the HP order I did. I filled out the online form (Online Rebate Link - Complete online submission. No mail-in form(s) required. Rebates are processed within 30 days.) right after I ordered it. Never got the rebate. I emailed them back they said that HP couldn't verify my order. I emailed back with my HP confirmation email I got from HP as well as the shipping email from HP. I never heard back from slickdeals! I'm getting very frustrated. This computer was for my daughter in collage that she paid for, losing out on $125 is a HUGE deal to her!!!! Not sure I'll ever do a SD rebate.

Looking at the SD HP forum https://slickdeals.net/f/10623312-slickdeals-paypal-hp-com-tiered-rebate-50-off-500-125-off-700-more-exclusions-apply?v=1 it looks like multi people are having the same issue!!!!

If it helps I'll even take a picture of the computer we got! We are really counting on this rebate!

I have had the same thing happen to me. I am reporting Slickdeals and Dell to the Better Business Bureau. I have submitted documents four times and been rejected. I even spoke to a Dell customer service representative, who told me that the SKU is on the order summary. She said every part of the product has an SKU.

Hi,

Looking at your submission we can see that your invoice (and your order confirmation) is missing the required SKU 466-8330 for your rebate which acts as a proof of a click-through purchase. Dell Customer service representative misinformed you about the SKU. We list the specific requirements for each rebate on the OP and you can see what SKU tracer is necessary. We made an exception this time and approved your rebate. Please make sure to place any future orders through the SD link provided. There are thorough instructions on the OP for every deal on how to place an order and what to submit for the rebate. Please PM or email us at rebates@slickdeals.net if you have any further questions.

Hi Earthian,
Even I clicked thru the link from Slickdeal for the purchase, there is no such SKU displayed on Dell's invoice. Perhaps SD might want to work with Dell for better way to trace the click thru from SD. Just as simple as a SD specific coupon code might work much better. For my rebate, would you make another exception.

Hi,

Looking at your submission we can see that first: your purchase was made on 10/7, while the rebate was valid 10/19-10/23. Second: the barcode you have provided was not the right UPC barcode. The correct UPC barcode for this rebate has the following numbers: 719192609877. I sent you a PM, please check.

This is the kind of crap that slickdeals pulls. What's so special about the barcode to begin with?
Slickdeals knows that a purchase was made for the rebate by virtue of the invoices that are submitted. Invoices clearly state the date, the product and everything else about the item that matches the rebate. It's a scam, plain and simple. I'm still waiting for a rebate from three months ago. Slickdeals says I never submitted a barcode, but I most assuredly did! They lost it in their scanning process. Not my fault. At this point I am convinced that those people who work in the scanning department for slickdeals rebates routinely throw away barcodes. I'm quite certain they do this because it makes them more money, because of all the rebates they do not pay out. Take a look at all the forum comments on rebates connected with Dell products over the past year. There are too many of the same complaints for this to be a matter of the wrong barcode or a missing barcode. Not to mention that the three barcodes found on a dell box are all identical! And then there is the issue that if one barcode is removed from a dell box and sent with a rebate form and original invoice, there is no rational reason for the purchaser to save the dell box. I didn't save mine for a TV. I don't have room in my apartment to save such things. My apartment is way too small to save boxes! What slickdeals is doing with these rebates is unjust, is a scam, is a fraud, and a huge slap in the face to all those people who trust that slickdeals will honor their word and do the right thing. It is not right and should never be tolerated in the marketplace. And people definitely should not be forced to fight to receive what is rightfully theirs for months on end. And by the way slickdeals, there is no such thing as a barcode "label." It would be helpful to learn the English language before your processing people say such untruths. A label is something that is affixed to a package. It is not something that is printed on a package. Never was and never will be.

There's an incentive for the in-party to deny a claim. In the industry it's called "breakage."
Breakage refers to any event that prevents a claim from being completed. For instance, denying based on bad verification materials such as receipts, UPC symbols, improper purchase dates, purchase price, in addition to "slippage" from checks issued but not cashed and unused balance on a prepaid card.

The rebate was accepted. 1/22/2018
Please allow 8 - 10 weeks which is ridiculous!
Waited 10 Weeks no rebate!
Called and felt like I was getting the brush off
Please allow another 7-10 days
Called back got the same guy... not good.
Said they would send me an email after talking to his supervisor which I felt was BS.

This is not a good experience. Promise a 100.00 rebate and don't deliver.
We may need to start a class action if I am not the only one.
