I have been using these cameras since last November and they work very well. I bought the 5-camera kit version and been very pleased with them. The cameras are easy to mount, work well, and the app for the camera system is easy to use.

$80 per camera is a good deal. What's the B stand for in the product title? I haven't seen this particular model before.

Optimal placement is 7ft above floor. Most places have 8ft ceilings standard, lots of people have 9ft ceilings.

I was wondering that too- looks like 'non standard' packaging or Brown box. Not sure if that means it is used or something else. I'm watching the thread to see if others (that are bolder than I) report back in a few days regarding what they received. Shipped and sold by Amazon, so NOT overly worried if I get a lemon but the hassle factor is something I'm not in the mood for since black friday is so close- Costco has a deal on these so others may follow

TOTALLY AGREE but would not have noticed until you pointed this out- THANK YOUl Not overly worried about them however because the item is shipped and sold by Amazon.

Such a limited system. Resolution is too low to be useful for IDing anyone, and the lag between motion and recording is really bad. Gen 1 stuff isn't worth much.

https://justclickappliances.com/a...ifference/ This was one of the better ones that I could find. There are a few more but I've given up for the moment. Too close to black friday for me to jump on this one.

The lag can be bit annoying.

FYI - please check out the wiki section here:
https://slickdeals.net/f/10409612-lorex-dahua-oem-6x-4k-8mp-security-camera-system-w-8-port-poe-ip-nvr-2tb-hdd-kit-at-costco-b-m-ymmv-for-799-99

I had the Arlo / Arlo Pro system for 8 months, and the information in the wiki reflects that experience as well as numerous reviews shared have here and elsewhere.

Also note there is a deal coming up at Costco for the Arlo Pro 3 camera kit during Black Friday.

What would you recommend. Wired vs wireless which is safer for home outdoor use.

True... But even Crystal clear faces on cameras hardly nets a criminal. We like to hope cameras thwart theft or help get Justice, but mostly they help us realize that we are not crazy and lost something but that it was stolen...

I love my pro 1s... Wish I had the pleasure pro 2, but i ha a evitger cameras for anything more

Hi Protech97,

Wired security camera systems are significantly more reliable than wire less or wired power + wifi

I've had to upgrade my Arlo system and go with a wired one to get the reliability and quality of images that I needed.

Please do take some time to research your options, and check out the wiki notes on the following deal page which we've gathered to help others with what a number of us have been learning about security camera systems.

Looks like there will be a number of wired coax analog systems available for a discount during the black friday time period, and we're expecting to see some PoE systems also come up.
