Think the specs listed in Amazon detail page is incorrect. The "2400" in product title denotes the memory speed, which is 2400MHz. Timing is 17-17-17 with 1.2V. Here is the full spec sheet:

Those are very rare and require a 5th gen CPU. 4th gen and earlier won't support 16GB sticks and 6th gen and later use DDR4. I don't believe I've seen a 6th gen or later using DDR3 SODIMMs only soldered DDR3.

Would this work with a dell latitude 7480 that already has 1 stick of 16 GB DDR4 Non-ECC SDRAM and has 1 open slot and can handle up to 32gb?

It's 2RX8 so should work... Dell lists the standard memory at DDR4 2133 though. I believe this can run a little slower.

About 11 months ago, there was a deal for 4x16GB 260 pin dimms for 325$. I stupidly passed on that. This is the best I've seen since. Thank you!

Transcend is top notch. They have been around a long time. Not as flashy as some of the others but I would call them mainstream.
