I couldn't find the fine print. Do you have a link to the fine print?

Whether we need to stay on DPP to get the $480 price or can pay it off at the $480 price, makes or breaks this deal.

When the 7 was new, I had my 128gb black for $15/mo from Verizon, so not a deal at all, I think. I still have the same phone, upgraded the plan to 5gb for $50 plan.

Most carriers had huge trade in deals for the iPhone 7 this time last year. I am holding out hoping to see good iphone 7 and 8 deals later this month. I'm thinking we should see some good deals any day.

You must first insert a Verizon postpaid SIM (inactive SIM is fine) and activate it with the Apple server (via wifi if using inactive SIM) to permanently SIM unlocked it because the phone is subjected to the US Reseller Flex Policy (where it will lock to the first inserted US carrier SIM), and Verizon does not lock its postpaid 4G LTE device; therefore, it's permanently SIM unlocked after activated with a Verizon postpaid SIM with the Apple server. This is called device activation, not the same as service activation, which is why you can use inactive SIM Big Grin

There will be always deals on iPhones that pop up every other weeks such as BB gift cards, Target gift cards, instant discount reflected on DPP, etc. Avoid discount deals that require you to collect monthly bill credits if you don't want to keep the line active with Verizon/Sprint for a long time. Aim for at least $200 to $300 savings to pull the trigger. Good luck!

so would target/bestbuy allow you not to open the package so you can insert a verizon sim when you get home? or maybe insert verizzon sim at the store before activating with sprint sim?

Sorry for the late reply. I injured my back while trying to mount onto my wife on the kitchen countertop (like they did on the movie) during love making.

Tell them it's a gift and you want to keep the box sealed.

I never have problem porting out right away, but most people suggest to wait 15 days.
