GPD Pocket for $443 with coupon

Hey everyone,

I work with a rep from Gearbest often and they alerted me to a coupon code for the GPD Pocket to bring it down to $443 Disclaimer: This is a bare link, I'm not an affiliate so I'm not making money for anything you purchase with this link. I do receive review material from Gearbest however.

https://www.gearbest.com/tablet-p...13003.html

Coupon Code: GPDPocket

I reviewed the device previously, the keyboard is left-justified, so the one feature that I see a benefit wasn't all that great to me.

If you are a person looking for a UMPC, it's def one of the better "newer" versions. Build quality is excellent and specs are nice for the form-factor.

At $443 the price is a bit easier to swallow. But, I would advise that you need to be a person that NEEDS a UMPC, otherwise you'll be far better served with a small laptop.

Just my two cents. Hopefully if you are a UMPC person and you've been waiting for a better deal that this helps you.

How long will this promo code work? Also, I've never ordered from GearBest. How reliable are they and what's the shipping time? (I'm concerned about spending $443 for a 1st time purchase with a company overseas).

Why don't you search GearBest on here, read those threads, and educate yourself?

Hey genius, he speaks with a GearBest rep often so I'd prefer his current feedback vs online which isn't always accurate.

It lists how many units are left on the page itself.

I've ordered a few things from them previously and they've arrived with little fanfare. I have heard people complain about custom duties or shipments taking awhile (it ships from China) but I have had no issue getting things shipped to NY.

Outside of those two issues, one thing that is a concern is if you get shipped something that doesn't work on arrival. You'll be responsible for shipping charges back to China, combined with that long process could make things frustrating.

I think if you were to see people complaining about Gearbest online it would have to do with one of those three issues. So just be mindful of all that is involved when ordering things from China is what it all comes down to.

I do consider Gearbest to be reputable and they have a strong initiative with working with content creators.

Do you have any flexibility in the size/form-factor you're looking for? This is a neat little design, but the CPU on this thing is pretty gimped up vs. other notebooks in this price range

ETA: Nevermind lol, I see OP already gave folks a heads up about there being better options

The GPD Pocket is now available on GearBest for $443.11 with no promo code needed. They are also including 4 free items(earbud headphones, 5 port USB 2.0 hub card reader, 1.4m HDMI to micro HDMI adapter cable, and carry case) that are added to your cart automatically when you add the Pocket to cart. I'd still prefer to purchase via NewEgg/PayPal but they are charging more and without the "freebies". ;-)
