Microsoft has various digital versions of Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind on sale for 50% off through Nov 8. While I have seen the discs for less, this is the cheapest I have seen the digital copies go for on the Xbox.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind Upgrade [microsoft.com]: $20

The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind Collector's Edition Upgrade [microsoft.com]: $30

The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind [microsoft.com]: $30

The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind Collector's Edition [microsoft.com]: $40

If you are new to ESO and are looking for the game plus the 4 major DLC packs, then Microsoft also has the Gold Edition on sale for $30. You could grab this, plus the Morrowind upgrade and have ESO with all major DLC for $50.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Edition [microsoft.com]: $30

Official support announced today for the Xbox One X. It will be included in Update 16 and the Clockwork City DLC which releases this November 7.

With the Xbox One X, The Elder Scrolls Online runs very close to the equivalent of Ultra settings on PC. This means that the game has never looked better on Xbox. Here's a breakdown of some of the new features and improvements coming very soon:
  • Native 4K resolution
  • Upgraded shadows with Screen Space Ambient Occlusion
  • Upgraded water reflections
  • Increased view distance

I wish there was a Morrowind edition that includes the story DLC from the base set. The way it's set up now makes it expensive and more difficult to pick everything up (I only care about story DLC). I played a one-month trial of the base game - It was pretty fun, similar to an Elder Scrolls experience, which makes sense.

It should be noted that it is also a free weekend for the base game.

Anyone here able to compare how ESO w/Morrowind is to Witcher 3 or ES3 Morrowind? Trying to debate if it's worth getting this now or wait till I'm done with Witcher 3.

Of course the main different is that ESO is a online multiplayer RPG so if you enjoy playing RPG games with millions of other player running around you will enjoy ESO. You can finish playing Witcher 3 the price ESO Morrowind will only go lower. Newegg had ESO Morrowind including the base game for $20 last month. Also around 78% of the content in the game is accessible with just owning the base game (Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited) so keep that in mind.

Thanks! Being an MMO is what makes me hesitant. I'm guessing server population is still good to last for some time? Also I'm stuck with using bing rewards(that way my wife can't complain) so sales outside Microsoft or Xbox stores don't help me much. :-(

There is no comparison. Witcher 3 is the cream of the crop. No game can come close to it

While i agree, i would like a good RPG eventually on the Xbox that you can be a true mage in. Been thinking ESO as i loved ES3 Morrowind world and story, but then again i might be better off grabbing Skyrim when it's on sale.

Try dragons dogma if you have never played it. Really good game.

Thanks! Looking at the reviews on this show people love it. Given the remaster was only just released this year, I'll definitely keep an eye on it for sales till I'm done with Witcher 3. Even if it never drops, $30 isn't terrible versus how much Skyrim's rerelease.

The game is worth it. I put over 85 hours into it on Xbox 360. I just got the remastered version for Xbox one. The game is still amazing.

Huge RPG fan here. Play mostly AAA titles only due to limited time. Loved all of the Elder Scrolls games, Dragons Dogma, WoW, Guild Wars, etc.

Why do I have so much trouble enjoying Witcher 3? I purchased the damn game 3 times now (physical disc for Xbox AND the PC version). I KNOW I should be enjoying it, but I just can't remain interested in it.

Is it because I didn't play the previous 2? Is it a bit too complex that requires a time sink I just can't afford?

HELP ME! lol

What is the difference in these editions? 2 different collector's editions at different prices. Which one are you supposed to know to buy if you have never purchased the game before?

The "upgrade" versions are if you already own the base game. Otherwise you're getting base + morrowind chapter. Collector's editions have extra stuff you may or may not want, like a mount, etc.
