It's not really aimed at consumers as much as it is small/medium business. I use them at home, but I also manage them at my business and for some others I help maintain. For home use they're nice, but sort of overkill and quirky.

Is ubiquiti high quality product? Seems more of expensive side than some of other consumer brands

Same here. Missed it last time. Got the UAP AC Lite and can't believe how well it works. Never again will I use an integrated router/access point!

I use these all the time at work. They are great small form POE switches that have some really nice features. Awesome management if using with other unify products

Agreed. I got this last time and it was in the area of $180. Highly recommended. I'm going to get this one. Never enough of PoE I guess.

Yes. At 60W total it can power up to 4 AC PROs (each AC pro uses 10W if you do not use its pass-thru port; if you do, AC PRO uses 22W). See https://dl.ubnt.com/datasheets/un...APs_DS.pdf

I already have a PoE switch. Is there a benefit to pairing this with my 2 AC PROs? Does it porvide additional control using the UniFi Web-based software for example (I run it on a linux VM).

Assuming just the management aspect. I've got an unmanaged poe switch and I'm contemplating it. But I think with my edgerouterx and collection of unmanaged switches I can do whatever vlans I might need in a home setup.

Anyone have experience with the AC Lite? It's on sale too and wondering if I should hold out for the AC PRO.
