I have 2 lines with free 1 year promotion....if I add another line through best buy..will my existing plan(for 2 existing lines) will be screwed up? In other words, will be able to add this new line on a separate plan while still keeping the existing 2 lines on free 1 year plan? Any experience? Thanks in advance.

Yes you can add another line with BYOD at the same rate as your first line. Total upto 5 lines can be active under free plan.

I feel like if you are on the free BYOD plan and you upgrade at bestbuy they will most certainly screw up your plan. Even Sprint corporate stores can't sell upgrades on the free plan.

Thank you. I am not sure if adding a new line through Best Buy will be eligible for free 1 year plan. I thought we were supposed to call a separate promo number to get free 1 year plan.

I am actually fine with adding a new line with a different monthly plan($60/month) as long as my previous 2 lines are still under free 1 year plan. This way I can pay off the device balance and port out the newly added line.

I will swing by BB and give it a try.

Even I feel the same way. Upgrading might screw up. But I would like to try adding a NEW line.

No, you can't add the free-one-year line through Best Buy to get this deal. You have to add another postpaid line (not free) to get this deal. You can have different/separate plans on the same account.

Thanks a lot for the info. I will add a new line alone on a different plan.

According to old threads, at least if memory serves, IF you first turn on the phone using a verizon sim it may it will activate on verizon and thus be unlocked. Can anyone else chime in on this?
