What does "button pass through" mean?

Sold a brand new antec 30124 VERIS Basic Multimedia Station (yes it is old stuff..never used) and got this response.


Buyer Comment: Setup as described, IR will not work. Button pass through works but IR command will not work. Software is absolutely horrible and will not start

I am guessing that means a button you can press on the physical hardware but the remote isn't working?

I've been trying to update the title, but I don't know how to edit it. You are right, it was not correct, but isn't a spelling mistake, it was a typo. If it was wrong it would be a grammatical issue. Glad the fake grammar police are here too.
I am guessing from the numerous views that what the person alluded to is not a technical term, so I will contact them.

I am guessing they are talking about how when they press a button on the remote the IR Repeater won't pass through certain buttons. Best to work with your buyer on this one. Sounds like they needed to do more research on a product before buying something that won't meet their needs.
