Good deal, knockoffs like the Smooth-Q will probably push the price lower though.

After comparing to the smooth Q and having both...I would recommend thr osmo only if it goes down to <$170....the smooth Q's only downside is no battery replacement but since its duration of use is super long...I havent had trouble at all!

When looking at gimbals, I went with the lower tier "Skylab Gimbal" which is sold at best buy, it gets the job done, but if I were looking to do more prosumer work, I'd skip over the Smooth-Q and get the Osmo since the Osmo is compatible with more 3rd party mobile apps like Filmic Pro, and the Osmo has more support overall when it comes to customer service as well (heck, DJI is giving you an hour of training in this very deal, try getting that from Zyihun o whatever the company is called).

But as a starter, I'd go for the Smooth-Q or Skylab gimbals for cheap, but yess for prosumers, I'd spend a little more for the Osmo.

I bought this last year for 299 plus tax. And I only used it less than 10 times. It's collecting dust now.

What is the practicality of these glorified automatic selfie sticks for consumers. I can understand it might have some value for a proconsumer but with new phones having auto stabilization, is it worth spending this or even $100 on generic sticks? Don't get me wrong, I think it's cool and I was (or am) thinking of getting one of the generic ones, I don't see the practicality of these for regular use. I would appreciate if someone gives me a little insight as other reviewer mentioned, they only used it for 10 mins, I don't want it to be the case with me.

If you're someone who travels a lot and uses their phone for pictures and videos, then this will probably be a worthwhile investment. There's a big difference in image stabilization and video quality while shooting with Osmo and handheld. But if your primary need is taking selfies and food pictures, you probably don't need this.

When checking out, asked for the last six digits of the social security numbers —— never encountered this. Thus failed the payment transaction.
