I am an old fart and don't drill as much as I used to. These will last for a long time if you lube them really well and keep them clean after use. They are made of carbide for general use and not of professional grade though. If you drill every day till the Viagra runs out, look for the professional grade such as cobalt or titanium.

drill bits and other consumables have never had a lifetime warranty, the lifetime warranty only covers hand tools.

The lifetime warranty comes with a very important caveat:
"This warranty does not cover expendable parts that can wear out from normal use within the warranty period. *"
That probably applies to everything except maybe the allen wrenches and nut drivers.

What you don't need another two sets of hex keys for your drilling pleasure ?

If you only need drill bits, then by all means get a set that only consists of drill bits. If you want a set with a variety of tools to match most small fasteners, as well as a few handy drill bits, then a portable accessory set like this is a good option.
