Hm, don't want curved and 40 inches is a bit too big for me.

But price seems decent, wonder what kind of panel it is with the 5ms response time.

MVA panel. Review is up at Tom's Hardware.

i thought the point of curved is so u can view more area with ur peripheral vision. no point of getting a curved screen if it's a small monitor.

also the immersion factor with big screens + curved.

really thinking about it but then black friday is still 25 days away Frown

Yeah, this actually looks like a really good deal (if the panel quality is good). I have a Yamakasi M280PU (28" 4K monitor) that I got on eBay for $250. Colors are fantastic, and it works great with my 2014 MacBook Pro, but this AOC monitor adds an extra DP and HDMI2.0, as well as a USB3 hub (with fast charging on one port) and that's not even mentioning the extra 12" of screen real estate.

The Cnet review seems a bit timid on this, but I would probably go for this if my office space was a bit larger.

I bought this during the last BB sale...and returned it with in the week. Reading text was fine but every time I watched a movie everybody would move like the Flash (ghosting?). Dark colors on bright backgrounds were the main culprit. I couldn't watch Daredevil without seeing Matt Murdock's sunglasses streak everywhere. I tried all the settings and Googled for setting templates to solve this without success.

Amazon seems to have pricematched it.

Better buy at Amazon when you add in the 5% cash back with prime card

If you are not interested in a 40" curved monitor.... why would you open a thread for a 40" curved monitor?

Any information about ghosting, some of the reviews seem to think it uses the same panel as he philips BDM4037UW which seems to have pretty bad ghosting. https://hardforum.com/threads/phi...1042845044

Purchased it and returned it - here is the review I left on Best Buy

The picture on lighter scenes was great but in the darker scenes I had issues with red blurs - primarily on skin tones. I tried different cables on both the HDMI and DisplayPort connections with no improvement. Also tried different calibration with the same results. Instead of taking a chance of replacement with the same issues I returned the monitor. Too bad because the picture was great in most uses but not all.

It was $449.99, so this is not the lowest price.
