"shatterproof" has a much nicer ring to it than "plastic".

Hey guys, do you actually own this phone and had any complaints about the screen? Or just talking in general but haven't seen or bought one yet?

I'm interested in this phone and gonna swing by a Verizon store to see if they have one on display first, but don't mind hearing any criticsms from owners of the phone before going in. I ask 'cause alotta the time you read comments on phone - and other - deals here, you can't be sure it's from people that actually own or have experience with a product any more. Or who's just giving their opinion based on something they read or in some cases, no experience at all.

My main concern was the battery capacity; although reviews I've seen say it's fine for at least four hours SOT. That isn't stellar, but I already own two Moto Mod battery packs, so I'm covered there. Thanks

I haven't used it, so maybe it's awesome. I did play with the older droid 2 turbo that had a shatterproof screen and was unimpressed. I just didn't like the way the screen flexed, and it seemed really prone to scratches (duh...it's plastic). But certainly check out reviews on your own.

I owned an LG G Flex 2...the oled screen wasn't very good. It's poor man's oled.

That being said, I would jump on this phone if it had decent battery life.

Oh and I own a Moto Z Play with the good type of OLED. If the Z Play had a decent processor, I would never upgrade.

How do you find the original Z Play in terms of general everyday usage? Would you call it a snappy/responsive experience overall?

Do any gaming on it like Asphalt 8, Amazing Spiderman 2, Modern Combat 5? I'm seriously considering that one instead due to the great battery life.

I've owned Snapdragon 820 and below phones, nothing 835 yet. On the other hand, I don't mind sacrificing an extra two or three seconds here and there when loading apps if I can squeeze 7 hours or more of total screen on time over two days out of my primary driver. I have a Moto G4 with SD 617 plus 2GB of RAM and feel the experience is very usable overall. Thnx for any advice.

I haven't seen the Moto Z2, but the Pixel XL 2 has a POLED screen. As a Note 8 user, I have to say the issues with the Pixel XL 2 screen are way overblown. Sure it has a blue tint at angles, but once you're looking at actual content on the screen instead of looking for the blue tint it's a non issue. That being said I wouldn't expect this POLED screen to be any worse.
