These Hoover models never seem to be much better than the basic Bissell 95xx models that regularly go on sale for $50 or even less. I have had both and they are both nice basic models that last 2-4 years. Therefore, I would wait for a better price on a Bissell model for $40-$50.

Good reviews and good price. I've been looking for vacuum deals for a few weeks but already got one. i probably would have done this instead.

Bought, thanks.

Going to try it at least. If any glaring problems, I'll return in store.

the bissell 95xx series is probably one of the best vacuums i've used. no frills or anything, it sucks up a lot of stuff other vacuums just don't pick up. it's perfect for my 3 dogs that shed and bring all kinds of stuff into the house.

was gonna jump on this as we need a new one and I like auto retract ones (though the downside is shorter cords) but this review killed it for me with the hose and brush if you have hardwood.

though in defense, the existing vac we have I think the hose is too short too, it may do the same thing I dunno, never really noticed but will have to double check and think about that, don't have hardwood but tile.

Shark vacuums are the worst. Read their reviews on reddit and you will stay away from it

Perhaps the review is an older model? Because the Target website states the brush roll can be turned off for Wood floor cleaning?
