Wow. This thing has HUGE printing volume. Any idea if this is better than, say, the prusa MK3 (not counting volume)? I'm guessing it's way better than the Anet A8? Does it need a MOSFET for safety?

Yep, it's Tevo's answer to the CR10.

There's no way it compares to a Prusa MK3. In terms of quality of components or features. And let's not forget the most important thing. The Prusa comes with a bag of Haribo Gummies so you have a snack while putting it together.

I read the whole thing and saw nothing about people being killed.

I wonder why this deal isn't way more popular. The CR10 is like $500+ and this seems to be an upgraded version of that.

Anyone paying $500+ for a CR10 is an idiot since you can get the CR10 pretty much all the time for $350-360 using someone's referral code. The CR10 has a good rep. The components they use are "top notch" for what they are. Components on a cheap printer. Tevos..... while well regarded due to the low price, can't really be said the same of.

One good thing about this one is that it has an AC bed so it heats up quickly. Other than that they are similar. I ordered one a few weeks ago from gearbest and they said it wont ship until Nov. 20th.

Can you explain a bit more? Heating up is usually a bad thing no? And don't AC's usually cool down systems?

The bed needs to heat up so the print sticks to the bed. It needs to heat up to 110c for abs, and 60c for pla. I'm not exactly sure what AC has to do with it I just know that's what it has and it's better than the Cr-10s bed heater.

Most heated beds use 12-24 DC volts to heat the beds. This uses 120 AC volts. Much high voltage and current which as the benifit of quickly heating the bed but the disadvantage of being a potential shock and/or fire hazard.
