How is this compared to buying a whole box from costco based on weight?

You can usually get frosted flakes for $1.49 on sale here for a 12 oz box. The deal posted would obviously cost more - but you are paying for the additional box packaging and convenience. The flip side is that you have to like/eat all the cereal listed.

Much worse than buying whole boxes of cereal. If you're comparing apples to apples, Costco has this exact set online for $9.89

Thanks OP.

For some reason my kids are much more willing to eat breakfast when it comes in a single serve like this.

Actually, the price per ounce on this is not terrible. With the 15% S&S, it works out to 17.6 cents/ounce, or $3.80 for 21.5 oz (the approximate "family size" cereal box). For a 21.5 oz box of the name brand cereal, the very best I can do at Kroger is usually around $3.50, and then maybe 33-50 cents off coupon. For grab and go convenience for teenagers who don't eat breakfast unless you are handing them something as they run out the door to catch the bus, it's worth the extra several cents for the individual packaging.
