Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM Lens for Canon, $680 Offer Accepted on Greentoe

I saw the other Greentoe post for the Sony mirrorless offer that was accepted, so I tried submitting an offer for the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8. After some negotiation, I was able to get it down to $680, which is not bad considering it's not grey market and you get the full USA warranty.

LOL. Since the A7RII deal post, people on SD have gone from "Who the hell is greentoe?" to let's post greentoe deals!

Had I not grabbed one off fb marketplace, totally would be all over this. Spent forever looking for my next lens and all my research pointed to this!

I have the sigma. Super sharp but it is on the heavy side with all the glass elements. There's a few direct comparison reviews on YouTube. One thing you will be missing with it over the Canon is the weather resistance. But from what I've seen, WR doesn't mean much. For the money, this sigma is a great bang for your buck.

I was looking at f/1.8 vs f/2.8 comparison videos and didn't notice too much of a difference, and WR is nice but not that nice price wise... thank you very much for the help!

It says 1 year warranty. It it the full Sigma warranty, or a Greentoe warranty?

A lot of camera manufacturers require that their gear be purchased from an approved retailer in order to qualify for warranty coverage. Don't know about Sigma.

You will get the warranty from the manufacturer and not Greentoe.. The item will be sold and shipped by one of the US authorized dealers and hence you should face no issues in getting manufacturers full warranty. I got the same lens from Greentoe and was able to get Micro Focus Adjustments done through Sigma warranty

Greentoe is just the middle man. Your items are sold by authorized retailers. It is just a place where they can sell off inventory at a lower price.
