This has been $259 on Amazon for awhile. Any difference in buying at Vitamix? Anybody think it'll be cheaper before XMAS?

The price dropped to $259 on Amazon beginning of this month. It's often quite a bit higher on Amazon with an average of $334.51. Looking at the history for Amazon I don't believe it will go lower there but you never truly know. I've been on the lookout for a Vitamix but don't know which one to get. I just want it for protein shakes really.

Same. I also want soups and juices that aren't chunky. When I make Indian food in my food processor it's got too many chunks in it. I think I'll just buy the 5300. I feel like the touchscreen 780 will just break within 10 years

Yes, through vitamix you get a 5 year warranty, through amazon you get 90 days. Also we do not know who refurbished the amazon blenders. Through vitamix, I'm assuming they did it.

The ones on Amazon are Vitamax certified refurbished, Vitamax did the refurbishing. They also still come with the 5 year warranty when purchased through Amazon. I bought this 2 days ago via Amazon and waiting for it to arrive today.

Looking to do a lot of Vegetable soups in it and some smoothies. 1 thing from reading around a lot is that I will likely have to toss in another 100 dollars and buy the 32 oz container for personal smoothies and shakes. The 64 oz wide container that comes with it seems to not do so good with less than 3 cups of stuff in it.

Either way looking forward to it, so many ideas for awesome easy recipes - I'm lazy and this should make things easier.

Did you receive your Vitamix yet? I'm interested in buying it from amazon since I get 5% CB. How do you know that it comes with a 5 year warranty? Thanks in advance.

Yea works great! Amazon is a licensed seller for Vitamax, I called Vitamax to verify. Just make sure you buy from seller Amazon and not one of the others.

$250 a slickdeal for the 5300? (direct from Vitamix)

Have a blendtec now but it's not that great, super loud, kind of unsteady and leaves chunks. Wondering if I should buy this now or wait for a better deal

edit: just ordered it.
