Has Linksys improved their quality recently? The last thing I bought from them (801.11ac bridge) was plagued with firmware issues with little support.
3 year warranty... What's to loose.

Looks like 90 days for refurbished and 12 months for new items.

On the linksys website:

The LIMITED WARRANTY

The Limited Warranty for Linksys and Valet products lasts for a period of twelve months following the date of purchase (90 days for refurbished products). In the United States, the limited warranty extends only to products purchased from Linksys or an authorized Linksys reseller. You can learn more about the Limited warranty through the following links:

will putting a second velop unit at an area at the edge of the first velop unit's mesh range be detrimental to the signal, like a repeater would (i.e. repeaters placed in an area of poor signal repeat a poor signal)? or are they able to communicate well and provide good signal to their extended areas via the magic of mesh?

coverage wise, would it be better to get 3 google wifi for $300 or these two velop units for $250? have a two story house built in the 60's with a cable modem on one side of the home. signal on the lower level on the other side is weak and slower, for obvious reasons, with our linksys wrt1200ac router. been looking at mesh for a long while.

Feel like orbi amazon warehouse is a better deal than this if you don't need a modem

I see the 2-pack orbi for $284.74 in very good condition. Is it worth $85 more without a modem?

How would this work with a FIOS router? Would it even work?

my cable guy said you can manually change bands/settings yourself+ extenders to optimize wifi rather then buying these expensive routers ? True? Currently have a 2500 sq ft. home w/ 2 routers, 1 upstairs

With the most active thread being about drop-outs and it still seems to persist, I'm going to pass on this. Thanks.

Everyone says their system is awesome and range is great. It is less than helpful.

strange, this link on linksys velop site says to refer to the warranty page...which is 1 year:

https://www.linksys.com/us/suppor...=217439#H5

but the velop specific page says 3 years...
