Replacement hard disk for Lenovo G50-45 model 80E30181US

I looked at the specs http://psref.lenovo.com/syspool/S...ations.pdf

and it mentions SSHD with 8GB NAND flash memory

1. Will any 2.5inch SSD work for a Lenovo 50-45 model name 80E3 laptop?

2. Is any brand like Western Digital better than others like Samsung for SSDs or they are pretty much the same quality?

3. Do I need the mount bundle shown at https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-2-...B00OAJ412U with the SSD

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

1- Yes it should, must make sure the height fits. If your doing a replacement can you pull the hard drive out now and see what it is or view through windows? the SSHD is a hybrid drive most likely.

2- Samsung and Intel are some of the largest most reliable brands. That said they are not the only ones. SSD quality and speed vary widely. Doing 3rd party research is important if your not going with a Samsung/Intel. You might start here http://www.tomshardware.com/revie...891-2.html WD SSD's are basically rebranded Sandisk drives if I remember correctly. WD bought Sandisk.

3- No thats for a desktop install in place of a 3.5" drive.
