This is based on reading through the replies of the hundreds of LG OLED65B7A threads. Of course this is YMMV and subjected to change.

Price Protection:
Chase: TVsuperstores.com approved, ExpressTVs.com approved, BuyUSA.com denied (because it was a wholesaler site requiring you buy in bulk).
Discover: BuyUSA.com approved, TVsuperstores.com denied (because a free wall mount with the TV) one guy say he was approved after he send in a screenshot without the free wall mount showing so YMMV.
Citi: TVsuperstores.com approved, BuyUSA.com approved, ExpressTVs.com denied (because their contact page is blank). One reply said they were approved so YMMV.
Wells Fargo Visa Signature: BuyUSA.com approved
No one has posted a PP to this retailer yet: tvsdailydeals.com $1,749.00 on 11-26.

Anyone who's had a different result feel free to post that information here.

Citi - ExpressTvs got approved. It took almost 3 weeks though.

Bait & switch. Abe's used to be reputable, but they went bankrupt and the new owners are not.
Ah. Good to know. Thank you.

I got a CITI card just for this. However, other ppl have been successful with both Discover and Chase (in the recent threads that I've particated on) when getting a match on this same TV from either eBay, beach camera, or Newegg
Just got my PP approved from Chase. Took 5 business days. All online. Check is coming. Super easy!

Has anyone managed to get an invoice from this seller? Is price protection likely to work here?

I remember being called crazy when I said earlier this year the 65" would hit $2k this year. If only I could find those posts... laugh out loud

Please expand on your purchase. Was it a purchase through Ebay, on this same TV, and which website did you submit for lower price for PP (tvsuperstores, expresstvs...) ?

Waiting for the 75" oled to hit this price point... Maybe another year?
Do you honestly believe a $15,000 TV is going to drop to $2100 in a year or are you just trolling?

Just saw this tv at Costco playing the demo content and it looked absolutely beautiful. I️ have a 80" vizio m and defiantly buy an OLED. Will lg come out with a bigger size next year. Although I️ don't know how much wait I️ can do.

For those who ordered... what kinds of delivery estimates did you get? I assume it's shipping from Orlando, FL?
Thanks.

Nothing yet, but I just ordered at midnight east coast. Will update later assuming it pops up as "shipped" soon. Main auction page shows anywhere from like Nov 15-30.

Should probably stop reading worst case scenario stories, because it's really not an issue at all.
My 55" had burn-in, though, I only saw it when the screen went mostly red.

What model? Not saying it's impossible, but I don't think it's inevitable especially if you do the cleansing thing or whatever it's called every so often.

My theory on the price drops is manufacturing is getting cheaper (better yields), but LG doesn't want to drop the price drastically on their partners (BestBuy, Costco, Target) because it is a high margin item and this would upset their partners.

Next year's models will most likely have a larger screen and also decent price reductions. In the interim, they are allowing vendors to drop ship these and making money both ways -- essentially making their own cake and eating it too.
Now that Sony is in the oled game and are purchasing panels from LG; LG is now able to produce more for less so we will definitely continue to see oled get cheaper. Granted it will always be more higher end and therefore more expensive than lcd but I think we will continue to see it gradually get cheaper...
