Not as good as the UK Amazon Ryzen 1600 from a couple days ago but still a good price on the 1500X. Ships in 2-4 weeks. No rebates or anything.

I convinced a Newegg chat agent to beat the amazon price. Got them to give me $25 off, bringing it to $145. Slick!

Let the haggling begin. Repping you for trying to lower the price at newegg. Let's hope others can do it too.

Depend on your application. The i5 is better for gaming, while the ryzen has better multitasking capability. You'd also have to change out your motherboard if you picked up this chip.

What are you trying to do with your computer? If it is gaming, you can get an i5-7600k, and give it a little overclocking for some pretty serious performance.

What's a Ryzen 1500X? Can you add some detail to the title? And is it $154.99 or $154.96? Not a big difference, but why 2 prices?

Which one is better for a passively cool system? The i5 had an integrated graphic chip whereas the Ryzen doesn't. So I'm thinking the Intel chip is better if you want to build a totally silence system without fans?

Hoping to get a deal on the Ryzen 1600. Does much better in benchmark tests with 6 cores vs. 4. Not a bad price for the 1500x though.
