This is a copy of a previous frontpage deal from August.

Normally $79+tax in Amazon/Sears. Add product to cart to see the discounted price $55.92+tax. You can use surprise points to bring it even further down, I bought it for $50 including tax.

Store pick up only.

I apparently had $10 in FREECASH points... so $50 out the door for me.

In 4 1... thanks @OP

Might be a bit of a wait, though. "1 item arrives by Dec 12 available at Sears Fox Valley Mall". Man I hope they are still in business by then so I can pickup my order!

I've had this in my Amazon cart forever. But I really want Dewalt to come out with a cordless version.

Reps/TU anyway.

I did, too, but I got to thinking about it and I'll probably never be somewhere that I don't have access to an outlet or extension cord when I'm sanding.

I've now got lots of tools in the 20V XR system, but I was hoping for a sander to cap it off so I didn't have to fiddle with the cords. oh well... I bit

Great deal on a great random orbit sander. My preference is for this to be corded as it's my heavy job sander. I have a cordless corner cat sander and a cordless multi-tool sander for tight areas and quicker sandings.

Just commenting to say that I have this sander and love it. I've probably put 25+ hours on it as I'm a fair heavy user. Still works like the day I bought it.

There's also a $5 off $35 sitewide coupon you can clip that works on this too.

Coupons vary by user; i had a $15 free lawn and garden, used for lawnmower oil and fuel additives.

FYI they block you from using surprise free points if you use the coupon.

Not a bad deal. Unfortunately since they closed the store in my city earlier this year I just can't bite. It's not worth the 30 minutes each way to the next nearest store.

Not a bad deal if you've got a sears close by... but the Bosch ROS20VSC is only $59 on amazon [amazon.com], and it's an excellent sander.

There's a number of good reasons why battery sanders are pretty much non existent..
  1. Runtime (sanders are high power consumption devices and batteries aren't ideal here)
  2. Added weight/bulk of battery
  3. Vibration is terrible for sensitive electronics and sanders are about a worst-case scenario (corded orbital sanders are pretty simple from an electronic standpoint.. start adding all the circuitry necessary for li-ion batteries and your potential for component failure goes way up)
