Gonna save the dog food for when family drops off their dog for emergency pet sitting. Any good scenarios for cats?

Haven't seen cat foods with deals like this. I was hoping I'd find some too. The litter is a great deal.

Please note this food ships frozen and is meant to defrost and be used within 10 days. You'd have to scoop out portions to feed and then store it back in your freezer if you aren't using it all at once. It's not like normal kibble where you can store it in the pantry for a while between visits.

Here are the instructions from the site:

Defrost before serving. Place in the fridge for a day to defrost, or place more than the designated amount (enough to produce the proper portion of thawed food) in the microwave and defrost for 2 minutes at 50% power per cup of food. Each bag will last 10 days after defrosting. Discard unused refrigerated food after 10 days. Discard uneaten room temperature food after 2 hours.

Damn, my chewy order is arriving today. Would have added that to donate to the animal shelter.

I usually check dogfoodadvisor and been happy with the reviews I receive there. This food is rated 3 of 5. https://www.dogfoodadvisor.com/do...-dog-food/

This is Chewy private label and is not something I would ever give my dog (quality concerns, price, ingredients). It is free so no risk but just be aware that this is not good quality food to give your dog. Check out dogfoodadvisor.

Obviously it will be low in protein have you ever wondered why dry food has more protein content than wet food. Its the same here it contains meat that looks like meat. How are you saying quality concerns this product doesn't even have any recalls.?

I have personally tried for my dog and its a great product comes neatly packed with dry ice and feels fresh and human grade.

I will do that, it is so frustrating to see so many differing opinions. Grain vs no grain, protein content vs, growing too fast. It will drive me nuts trying to figure out the best option!

Dang 3/5 is low. Every other brand I've ever looked up on there has been at least 4/5.
