RTINGS review: http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/uj6300

The UJ6300 is an average TV for a mixed usage. It has passable picture quality and a decent viewing angle, but it doesn't get very bright in SDR. Input lag is amongst the lowest though.

LG's 49" UHD @ $359 is a pretty sweet deal I would say. If you want more screen size tho, I would also recommend taking advantage of Sam's Clubs one day sale on 11/11.

They got 50" TV for $349 & 55" TV for just $40 BUCKS MORE AT $399 (see the link below)

Also trying to decide between the 49" TCL 4K Roku vs 49" LG 4K. I was inclined to go with the TCL since I figured Roku software would be more likely to get updates. Can you go into specifics why you prefer the TCL?

I have the 2016 OLED65C6P & although I believe LG's WebOS is the best Smart TV OS as far as user experience, especially with the magic remote. However, LG's WebOS has a limited number of video streaming apps, basically just the usual suspects like YouTube, Netflix, HuluPLUS, Amazon Instant Video, Vudu & Google Play Movies. But no HBO Go/Now, no FunimationNow or Crunchyroll for anime. Also they especially don't have many cord cutting apps like DirecTV Now, YouTube TV, PlayStation Vue, they just have SlingTV, which is my least favorite TV Service provider app. Not to mention not having other streaming apps like Watchespn, Showtime, Starz & many others that I can't think of right now.

Thanks, I am getting a new 50 incher for a computer screen and I am most concerned about imput lag. This TV is probably the best in that concern but the TCL is not far behind and better in other areas. I'll be getting the TCL. Plus you can get a bad set from any brand and a return to Costco will be way easier than ebay.

I paid $130 after SYWR. tax free NH. Plus I used gift cards that I got at a discount. so around $100 if I can find something good to buy with SYWR I am golden.

a no name brand though is the catch.
