Guys, avoid this one like the plague. More below. Also, this isn't a new deal, they've been selling at this price for some time.

Micro Center has shipped my 3 of these so far, and they all have defective GSync units. When running the Nvidia GSync pendulum test, the screen tears like crazy and contrast flickers at any framerate under 45fps. Gsync is spec'd to run at a minimum of 30FPS, and this standard is one of the only upsides of Nvidia's crappy GSync distro model vs AMD Freesync. What's worse is just how bad the transition is between Gsync toggling on and off -- it makes the refresh rate stutter even more than if it was never turned on in the first place.

I posted this issue on overclock.net's forums and found others with the same exact issue:

We've tried reinstalling plenty of Nnidia driver versions, installing monitor drivers, switching cables, etc. etc to no avail. Just a shit product line IMO. They've had other flickering issues in the past that they patched with new drivers around April 2015 but it didn't fix this (Or Nvidia broke it agian, but that's another conversation).

Quite unfortunate because the display looks great otherwise. But if you don't need GSync there are $500-$600 alternatives out there in the VA group: Massdrop Vast, Pixio PX347c, Crossover UW3535, and Viotek GN35LD to name a few. This one will run you $880+ after shipping if you incur sales tax.
