It's not a bad deal but previous offers have ranged from 80-100k points with a lot less spend (usually under 5k). This offer is somewhat better since you have a lot longer to make the bonus, and you get the bonus in chunks as you spend. But that's also worse since it can take you a lot longer to earn the whole bonus and you have to spend considerably more.

Not sure if the previous offers will come back or if Chase/Marriott will go with this as the new standard.

That's true. I just got an 80,000 offer from Marriott this morning for 3k spend with the premier and premier business cards in first 3 months. If I sign up for both I could have 166,000 for 6k spend in 6 months.

Or if I do the 120,000 deal for the regular premier and the 80,000 deal for the business, I could have 203,000 points. on 15k spend. Don't see an option for the 120,000 on the business premier.

EARN 80,000 BONUS POINTS
After you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening* with the Marriott Rewards® Premier Credit Card
This product is available to you if you do not have this card and have not received a new cardmember bonus for this card in the past 24 months
80,000 After you spend $3,000 in the first 3 months*
$85 annual fee* not waiveed
