Yeah it's all over YouTube just Google it on YouTube and it isn't hard to find not sure if that violates copy rights or not the movie is so old . Someone has to know thought they never take it down I think it's there every Christmas .

They let the copyright lapse, though I vaguely remember reading something about how remastered versions have some kind of Intellectual Property protection for that specific version. The director Frank Capra was actually pretty conservative, and if you think about it - the hero runs a Savings and Loan, his rescuer is an ethical venture capitalist who on info the hero gives him starts a new manufacturing business (and even tries to let him in on it, it would probably be insider trading today but in the context of the movie it's just the entrepreneur trying to say thanks), and you have the banker whose only definition of moral is can I make money off of it without breaking the law (and even breaks the law but in a way he cannot be caught - a mislaid "deposit" is not a gift to the bank). Ironically much of it is still true now. Oh, and you have a strong Christian and angelic presence. I've used the movie as a strong teaching tool on ethical capitalism to my kids (after the movie, and more towards middle school, it's also just a great movie). Another wonderful holiday movie is the original The Bishops Wife, where there is a very important distinction between asking for God's intercession, and for His guidance. hug

NBC screwed it up. There was a time when you could find it on 4-5 stations running almost simultaneously....some versions better than others. Now NBC owns the broadcast rights and its like 2x/yr.

Classic-

Along with "March of the wooden soldiers"

I enjoyed watching them as a kid and can never get tired of them.

Does this include B&W?

I assume it does, but I couldn't find it in the Amazon description. A must-watch at Christmastime!

Are you talking of the movie with Laurel & Hardy? That is a good movie. Although a little corny/campy by today's standards, I still like it. Alternative title is Babes in Toyland. I have all three versions, recorded off TV.

I think the last comment sums up the re-copyright story. And probably a lot of truth to it.
