Save Deal in desktop website version

28 30 November 7, 2017 at 05:02 PM
Hi folks,
Is there an option to save deal in desktop site? It has such option in the mobile app, so i would expect such basic functionality to be especially in desktop version but don't see it anywhere... Thanks!

I found it, never mind! Couldn't believe it's hidden under "threat tool" Why not just display some sort of heart icon next to the title or something... like everywhere else. It's a big UI experience issue.

Where the hell is it? What's the "threat tool"? I see a flag, I see "more". But I don't see save under any of these

Ah you meant it's under "thread tools". If anyone else is looking for how to save a deal, do a page search for "thread tools" so you know where it is. You have to save under "Favorites".

And if you want to list all your favorite threads (i.e. saved deals), then you'll have to click on your username at the top-right, then click "Saved Items" and then "Subscribed Threads", then click on "Favorites" under "My Lists". I'm not joking.

Yep, this UI needs a lot of simple, obvious work. It would take less than an hour's worth of coding to expose these two obvious functions to be on par with mobile.

If you hover your mouse over your username at top right, the dropdown will give you direct links to your favs, subscribed and saved threads etc.

In Classic view, there is a Save button at the top of thread also.

Are you sure? If you hover your mouse over your username, the dropdown only gives direct links to "Subscribed Threads", "Ignored Threads", "Saved Searches", "Thread Stickies", "Reminders". Where do you see "Favorites"?

Oops, you're right, Favorites aren't on the dropdown itself, my bad. But to save yourself a step or two at least, you can click on the "My Lists' part of the dropdown and it will take you to the page with your lists, including favorites. Not ideal, but mostly only one or two clicks that way at least.
