Considering that the standard model has been $268-$270 several times in the past few months, I guess you need to ask yourself if the stand is really worth the extra $30

I felt it was. I bought two of them when it was previously $299.99 because of the stand. I am using them for work and sit in front of them all day long, I like making sure they are at comfortable level. And I found the semi-circle stand on the 27UD58-B too wobbly; the monitor would bounce around if I had my palms resting on the desk while typing. Luckily I bought it locally and it was an easy return.

Plus I have the monitor on the left in portrait mode, not possible on the other model w/o a VESA mount that costs more than $30

Is this worth the $80 more than the $220 28-inch Sceptre UHD IPS Newegg-via-EBay deal?

This exact model with the upgraded stand? Only newegg has this particular model (with letter "P" in model number indicating better stand).

Can anyone confirm the Newegg reviews stating that this monitor has a very low quality panel with poor color reproduction and gray lines visible from up close?

I bought two of these a week ago when it was $299.99 - I use them every day at work and they are fantastic. I have none of those lines those reviews speak of. My boss got one and he loves it too.

Using a 2017 Macbook Pro w/both displays connected via USB-C to displayport cables.

The 99 is brighter and has a wider color gamut.

Just a quick poll on people who got this. How was the quality? I ordered 5 monitors and would only consider 1 good. There were 3 with dead pixels. 2 with 1 Pixel which I could easily live with but 1 had very bad light bleed. Another had 8 dead pixels clumped together. Not sure if I just drew the short straw or if this typical. I don't really want to keep rma monitors until I get 5 good ones.

Thanks in advance.
