OPINIONS
There is No motion smoothing..

That isn't even a feature of this ]tv.

Not a stated feature, but the "soap opera" effect is present without ability to disable

Contrast:

Fairly Uniform, but blows out at angles greater than 110 degrees.

Overall, this panel has a very narrow sweet-spot to watch from.

Image scaling quality:

Due to the internal-processing, there is noticeable haloing/ringing on high contrast edges, This processing can not be disabled in menu.

You Must Update the TV via connecting to your internet, The ringing Goes away after the update.

After you activate the web connection,it will update the tv, then you can do the factory reset, it will retain the update, but remove all the internet bloat crap and advertising junk.

Gaming:

There is a gaming mode.

Input lag is not terrible. Tested via CSGO deathmatch, I am able to achieve my usual KDR.

The input latency is (overall) fine, but The pixel transition latency is quite high, So expect a good deal of Motion-Blur // Ghosting during Fast action, or high-contrast transitions.

Solid deal but you have to stand for hours and they would finally say we only has 8-9 tvs which we have sold out. Best buy sucks when it comes to stocks of bf tv's.

Can't see why you can't do Discover PP. That's what I'm planning on doing. Haven't found any better deals on a 50" budget TV...yet...

I have used Discover Price match on the Best Buy BF TV deal the last few years. Nothing has changed in the terms that should prevent it.

Just note, if you are buying more than 1, you need to buy them on separate days. If you buy them on the same day, they can and will decline one of the two.

So if your willing to eat the tax in exchange for not waiting in line, its a great deal. Right now the TV is on sale for 399.99, so you are stuck paying tax on the $220 price difference.

Yes, the holiday return policy is live, which means you have until the end of January to return your items.

At 7% tax, that comes to paying $15.40 ($19.80 for 9% tax) for not spending hours in line at BB. Sounds like a good deal.

No HDR, but it's hard to complain for $180. Anyone used the Citi Price Rewind for a BF item? Looks like it should work as well.

Do any other credit cards offer the price match or is that just a discover benefit?

Last year Citi price protection denied price matching the doorbuster tv because of the limited stock term in the ad. Discover is very good about price protection. My issue with the tv is typically Sharp does not produce the BF tvs but they sub it out and they are poorly made. With the good reviews it looks much better than what Sharp has produced in the past.
