Side comment/rant: this light is not bad but DeWalt really needs to step up their LED lighting game to compete with Ryobi and Milwaukee. Sorry DeWalt, I don't want to spend $600 on a bright light that uses your battery system that Ryobi can compete with for about $60. I used my buddy's P720 and it was amazing (https://www.homedepot.com/p/Ryobi.../205673849).

DeWalt has several lights for $100 or less that will crush your buddies P720. This one has almost triple the lighting output @ 1500 Lumens https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sl_WEOTb2K0

How does this drill driver and impact driver compares to the XR range of drivers such as DCK299M2?

I was also thinking of DCK280C2 which is for $179 at Lowe's right now?

Any thoughts?

How does this compare to the Miluakee M12 12v 5 tool set that I bought for $199 from Home Depot recently?

What? The Ryobi P720 has more 300 more lumens for ~$25 less than the DeWalt. The Ryobi is also like 10x better designed. The DeWalt is such a weird ass & bulky design.

Those m12s have tiny batteries. The m18 line would probably be a more 1:1.. the m12 would relate better to a black and decker line.

That's only my assumption, I can tell you for sure that the batter life will be longer. Battery also adds weight.

I think he was saying 3x the light output of the 500 lumen one mentioned in the deal.

DeWALT DCL050 20V Max LED Hand Held Area Light

The Dewalt also has a receptacle output. Minor difference. Both can run off of AC input.

I understood what he/she meant but his argument makes no sense because the Ryobi produces almost 20% more light (plus utilizing a much newer 20 watt COB LED) for much less money. That DeWalt light was released in April of 2014. Can we get an update after 3.5 years?

Don't want to be a brushless snob, but, they don't compare. I replaced my brushed DeWalt set with the brushless they had on sale at Amazon a few months back. Night and day really. If you are just doing little stuff around the house, I suppose it won't matter. The brushless go through wood, drilling, and drives like butter. Worth it to me to upgrade.
